Foreign students studying in Canadian schools

Foreign students who seek to study at a Canadian school or institution ordinarily must obtain a study permit before entering Canada. The student must have an acceptance letter from the Canadian school and prove that he or she has enough money for tuition and living costs. The student will have a severly limited ability to work in Canada while studying.
